FAQs

What if I have no experience?

You are a blank canvas! I love this. Remember we all start somewhere. Let’s work together to establish a language and have you feeling confident in movement or stillness. There is nothing but possibilities when you’re open to take the first step.

What should I wear to my session?

I recommend light layers that allow freedom of movement and can be easily adjusted to meet your ideal temperature throughout session. Best to avoid items with buckles, zippers or straps as these can create uncomfortable pressure points during movement or while lying in stillness.

What should I eat before session?

It’s best not to have a full stomach for session. I recommend eating 1-2 hours prior to your session to ensure your mind is at ease and your body is not distracted with hunger or digestion. Some people prefer to have a beverage like water or tea alongside their practice (I certainly do) however, be mindful that a clutter free movement space is best for your body and mind.

Can I join a session if I’m injured or pregnant?

The simplest answer, “it depends”. Please ensure if you are currently working through an injury or are pregnant that you’ve been cleared to do movement (Pilates or yoga) or experience vibration (sound bathing). I’m happy to work with the recommendations of your medical team and welcome this information up front.

I like to document my movement journey. Can I take photos or record video while in session?

Let’s be considerate of everyone with this one and ensure we ask permission. If attending group sessions we’ll respect that it may make others feel uncomfortable and therefore compromise their ability to delve into their deepest experience. If it’s just you and I, my preference is to know and discuss our boundaries beforehand.
