Group class FAQs

Firstly, for all session styles let’s ensure you are comfortable. Wear clothing that allows you to move. Layers are great as you can adjust if your body temperature fluctuates throughout session. I would avoid items that have hard surfaces like zippers or buckles as these create uncomfortable pressure points on the body.

For all movement styles I would recommend a water bottle and a folded up hand towel (used as a padding under knees or to lay out for resting cheek or forehead on the mat.)
For Pilates, consider bringing a yoga mat that is 1-2” in thickness. Traditionally, Pilates is conducted on thicker mat surfaces to allow soft pressure points along the body. If carrying your mat is not an option, I will encourage you to double up on the provided studio mats for a similar effect.
For yoga or sound bathing, you may also like to have additional comfort items such as a personal yoga mat, blanket, mediation cushion, eye mask or neck pillow to accompany your session. Allowing yourself to be supported and comfortable will create a deeper experience.

Take a moment before class to inform me of any goals, injuries or conditions. If you are working with other physical therapists it’s also helpful that I know of their recommendations before we begin our work together. Remember to keep me posted as your current condition changes. You can either email me or plan to allow time to discuss in person before class.
If you are pregnant, please ensure your medical team has cleared you for your session experience (whether its Pilates, yoga or sound).

Plan to arrive 10mins before class to allow for set up, brief discussion of body updates and for the simple value in not rushing! These few minutes before class can allow time to connect, a moment to do a few intuitive mat movements or if needing to use the restroom before we begin. My goal is to honour everyone and begin on time.

The nearest washrooms to the studio are located in the Hilton hotel. Please note there is no bathroom in the studio.

Once you’ve completed the registration contact form above we will reach out with a confirmation response. This will ensure you have been successfully registered for class and the class fee. At this time, we accept payment via e-transfer or cash.

The studio is in the heart of the Whistler village. There is numerous pay parking options. Those situated closest to the studio would be the Conference Centre or the Westin hotel.
