Evocative. Comforting. Enveloping your senses in the power of sound.

Soundscapes unearth the depths of consciousness for an experience rooted in relaxation with the spirit of expansion.

I’m intrigued - let’s talk Sound Bath

What is a sound bath?

You are invited to get comfortable. This may be laying back on a couch or yoga mat with pillows, bolsters & blankets or reclining in a supportive chair for the duration of the experience. You may prefer to cover your eyes with an eye mask or utilize trigger point therapy with an eye pillow. The aim is to soften the other senses in order to heighten the awareness to sound: allowing further notice to its effects on your body & mind.

Thru sound bath, it’s possible to experience deep states of relaxation & a prolonged period of meditation. Some experience feeling very dreamlike. Some share instances of vivid memories returning evoked by the suggestion of sound - bringing them back to the rhythms, scents and feelings from previous experiences.

The ultimate self care & inner reflection.

Sound Bath can benefit the mental, emotional & physical bodies.

Mental & Emotional Benefits:

  • Reduces Stress & Anxiety:

Activates the "rest and digest" state, lowering stress hormones (cortisol).

  • Improves Mood:

Can boost serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins, decreasing tension, anger, and depression.

  • Increases Clarity & Focus:

Helps quiet the mind, leading to better focus and creative insights.

  • Promotes Emotional Release:

Can bring up deep feelings, facilitating letting go of trauma and stagnant energy.

Physical Benefits:

  • Deep Relaxation: Induces a profound sense of calm, loosening muscles.

  • Better Sleep: Encourages brainwave states (theta and delta) linked to deep rest.

  • Pain Relief: The calming effect can help alleviate physical discomfort.

  • Boosts Immunity: Stress reduction has anti-inflammatory benefits, supporting the immune system.

What to bring to a Sound Bath

To prepare for a sound bath, bring personal comfort items like a yoga mat, blanket, and support pillow, as well as a water bottle and an eye mask to personalize your experience. Wear loose, comfortable, layered clothing, and remember to turn off your phone before the session begins.

For the experience you will be encouraged to find a comfortable restful position. This may be lying on your back, on your side, sitting up, leaning against a wall or sitting in a chair. This is something that can be unique and personalized to fit your needs.

The ultimate goal is to provide support to your periphery so that you can immerse yourself in sound.

For your comfort

  • Mat: A yoga or exercise mat to lie on.

  • Blanket: A blanket or even a sleeping bag to stay warm, as your body temperature may drop while lying down.

  • Pillow: A small pillow or bolster for neck, head, or knee support. Towels or folded up clothing make great supports as well.

  • Eye mask or weighted eye pillow: To block out light and help you relax more deeply. A weighted eye pillow also utilizes relaxation trigger points around the eye for added depth.

  • Water bottle: To stay hydrated, as it's important to drink water after the session.

    Clothing and other essentials

  • Dress for deep relaxation: Wear loose, soft clothing. Layers are recommended so you can adjust if you get too warm or cool.

  • Cozy socks: To keep your feet warm.

  • Water: To drink before and after the sound bath.

    Before you go

  • Turn off your phone: Put your phone on silent or "do not disturb" mode to avoid disrupting yourself and others.

There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.
